应用Tanshinone IIA (Dan Shen ketone), vasoactive cardioprotective drug, is used in a wide variety of studies to asses is potential therapeutic value and mechanisms of action which include inhibiting LDL oxidation, monocyte adhesion to endothelium, smooth muscle cell migration and proliferation, macrophage cholesterol accumulation, proinflammatory cytokine expression and platelet aggregation.
